Kosmo's 3 stars for Oct. 5
For those who braved the cold and wet weather on Friday, hope you don't catch a cold soon.
Even if you do, it was probably worth it to see all the great team and individual efforts on the first night of Week 7.
Here are the three that caught Kosmo's eye the most as he presents his 3 stars for Friday.
Third star
Stephen Guenther, Birmingham Seaholm - Well, it looks like the Maples can make plays in the passing game after all. What a tremendous performance by the senior, who passed for 206 yards and three touchdowns and ran for another touchdown in a 35-33 win over Lahser that all but wrapped up the OAA Blue title. Great job, Mr. Guenther.
Second star
C.J. Borglin, Rochester Adams - It's been a nightmare season for Adams, but the Highlanders finally got a reason to celebrate with a 34-20 upset of Southfield. Borglin was a big reason, catching five passes for 122 yards and two touchdowns, impressive numbers for a wideout.
First star
Ian Eriksen, Clarkston - Just when Kosmo thinks Eriksen can't do anymore, he goes out and eclipses the 1,000 mark in tremendous fashion, rushing for 295 yards and four touchdowns in a 28-0 win over Troy. Eriksen had TD runs of 95, 83 and 62 yards. Wow. Get ready, Lake Orion. Eriksen is coming to your house next week.
