Sometimes it's best to fly under the radar

Kosmo isn't sure who the No. 1 football team in Oakland County will next year, but he does know that whichever team gets the top nod should probably run.
It's never easy to manage high expectations, as proved to be the case for Rochester Adams and Orchard Lake St. Mary's this year. Before last year, Adams was somewhat under the radar with a No. 6 ranking entering the season, while St. Mary's was No. 10. Adams ended up making the semifinals, while St. Mary's lost in five overtimes in the Division 3 state final.
This year, Adams was ranked No. 1 and St. Mary's No. 2 entering the season.
So what happens?
St. Mary's has only its second losing season in 20 years, while Adams has some defensive issues and ends up losing in the first round of the playoffs to Brother Rice.
Both are great programs who will be back, but they even proved that no matter who you are, it's never easy to play with a target on your back.

hi kosmo this is my first post here and I was wondering if you consider Ubly as one of the teams under the radar because you never say or talk about them in div. 7 Its My thought that Ubly is going to wreck thanksgiving for both R.O.shrine and TCSF please give us your thoughts on Ubly . In the first playoff game with Genesee Ublys QB scored 4 TDs in the first Quarter and scored his fifth in the 2nd then they pulled him and let him coach the game and call the plays in the 2nd half on thier way to a 65-6 victory your thoughts please thanks Mr. Horn

kosmo do you think Ubly is the Div. 7 sleeper I think that come Thanksgiving weekend it is going to be real bad for a couple of your picks I see Royal Oak Shrine going down in the semis and TCSF losing big in the finals whats your take? Last Friday Ubly's QB had 4 1st quarter TDs and a fifth in the 2nd then they pulled him and let him coach and call the plays for the 2nd half on there way to a 65-6 stomping of Genesse Ubly is for real and the city boys wont know what hit them. this is my second post on this subject if you did get the 1st one sorry to take up your time. Sorry for getting back with you so late. I had trouble figuring out how to respond on these blogs. Anyway, Ubly obviously is a great team. I thought Shrine was better, but was WAY off on that. Thanks for your interest and best of luck on Saturday!
