All-star mistake

It might be the heart of basketball season but this week will mark two important dates for high school football, which both somewhat coincide with each other in the thought process of Kosmo. The obvious and most important one is signing day on Wednesday, while on Saturday the Michigan roster for June's Michigan-Ohio all-star game will be announced in East Lansing. Kosmo isn't a big fan of the new all-star game for two reasons. One, it is 44 less kids from the state who will participate from the old format of an all-Michigan all-star game. Two, there no longer is the rule that only one player from a school can be chosen. When signing day happens on Wednesday and schools such as Clarkston, Southfield, Brother Rice and Cass Tech have loads of signees, it will be a reminder that it will essentially be those four schools combined taking on Ohio in June. Hopefully this new all-star format is just a one year deal.
