First of Harrison's "Big Three" commits
There has been a lot of fanfare over recent months and likely will continue to be fanfare until next February over Farmington Hills Harrison's "Big Three" football standouts that are highly coveted by Division I programs.
For now though, one is off the board.
Making it a very Good Friday for him indeed, Harrison tight end Devin Funchess gave a verbal commitment to Michigan.
Funchess had a horde of scholarships offers to choose from, including Michigan State, Nebraska and Virginia.
Now, the question will be where the other two members of Harrison's "Big Three" will land.
Wideout Aaron Burbridge is one of the top players in the nation at his position, as is defensive lineman Mario Ojemudia.
Funchess will no doubt try to convince those two to join him at Michigan. If he does, that will mark quite a stellar first recruiting class for new U-M head coach Brady Hoke.
