These are good times right now at Novi Detroit Catholic Central, and Kosmo isn't necessarily referring to the Shamrocks' dual wrestling match win over Clarkston the other day.
The other day in the Oakland Press, Kosmo picked Catholic Central's basketball team to lose to Warren De La Salle, saying if the Shamrocks upset the Pilots, then Kosmo could say they are for real.
Well, following Catholic Central's upset win, Kosmo has to say the unbeaten Shamrocks are for real. De La Salle is one of the state's top teams, and the Shamrocks prevailing made quite a statement.
Not only that, but the powerhouse hockey program is well, even more of a powerhouse. Catholic Central is ranked No. 1 in the state in Division 1 and even though it's only January, this may be the best and closest-knit team the Shamrocks have had since winning their last state title in 2005.
