As it should be, pretty much all the focus on Monday will be the start of the boys basketball playoffs around the state. There aren't many times of the year better, so everyone should be thrilled the road to the Breslin Center will officially begin.
However, Monday also marks another important day on the preps sports calander. Believe it or not, practices for all spring sports start on Monday. Who knows, with the weather becoming a little warmer the last few days, maybe baseball and softball teams will actually be able to start outside rather than fight basketball teams for space in the gym. Regardless, it's good to see spring really is around the corner with spring sports teams finally opening up. All the attention should still be on March Madness, but it's good to know once it's over there will be something after that to look forward to as well.
