Kosmo's 3 stars for Monday

As far as Kosmo is concerned, the spring sports season has finally begun. All your seer can see is sunshine from out of his cave, so the Bears are up and it must mean spring sports teams can finally enjoy some deserved time outside. In light of that, Kosmo is ready to give out his 3 stars more regularly, so keep reading this blog each night. Here are the 3 best performances from Monday's games. Mike Thomas, Troy baseball - Kosmo doesn't feel Thomas got enough credit last season because he quietly was one of the top pitchers in the county. He showed why against Auburn Hills Avondale on Tuesday, allowing just one hit in five brilliant innings of work. Jen Semaan, Stoney Creek softball - Semaan might be one of the most unheralded players in the county despite playing for a team that has struggled in recent year. Case in point was in Monday's sweep of Auburn Hills Avondale, when Semaan had four hits, including a home run, in the doubleheader. Drew Miller, Walled Lake Central baseball - The Vikings had an important game against a solid Grand Blanc team and came out victorious thanks in large part to Miller, who went 3-for-3 with an RBI to help Central improve to 7-1 on the season.
