Showdown set in Walled Lake

Normally, Kosmo doesn't get too excited about baseball regular season games in late April.
However, there is one matchup on Monday that looks particularly intriguing.
It's always a nice high school sporting event when two city rivals hook up. It's even better when both are playing well.
That's exactly the case for the Walled Lake Western and Walled Lake Central baseball teams, who will hook up on Monday at Central.
Entering Saturday, Western had only one loss and recorded a 10-8 win on Thursday over one of the state's best teams, Lakeland.
Central enters the game on a seven-game winning streak and appears to be rounding into form following a slow start.
It could be the first of three meetings this season should the teams play in the district round of the state tournament.
Even though there'll likely be bigger games to come between the Warriors and Vikings, Monday should still be something to look forward to.
